His Royal Highness the Tunku Mahkota of Kedah Graciously Presents Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) Contributions to 300 Underprivileged Recipients in the Districts of Sik and Baling

18 February 2025, Baling, Kedah – Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) organised a special contribution ceremony to assist students and underprivileged families in preparing for the upcoming school session, while also supporting them in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan.

The presentation ceremony was graciously officiated by His Royal Highness Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, the Tunku Mahkota of Kedah and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK), reflecting the Royal Institution's continued commitment to the welfare and educational advancement of the community.

A total of 300 recipients from low-income and underprivileged families in the districts of Sik and Baling received assistance. This comprised 150 recipients (75 from Baling and 75 from Sik) under the Back to School (BTS) initiative, and 150 recipients (75 from Baling and 75 from Sik) under the Ihya’ Ramadan assistance programme.

Also in attendance were the Honourable Dato’ Seri Haji Norizan bin Khazali, State Secretary of Kedah and Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK; the Honourable Dato’ Seri Setia Diraja Dato’ Paduka Haji Bakar bin Din, Dato’ Pengelola Bijaya DiRaja and Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK; Encik Yazlan Sunardie bin Che Yahaya, District Officer of Baling; Encik Faisal Rizal bin Mohammad, District Officer of Sik; the Honourable Dato’ Wira Vijayasundram Jeyabalan, Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK; the Honourable Datuk Mohd Najib bin Abdullah, Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK; Tuan Haji Azhan bin Abd Hamid, General Manager of TASK; and Encik Jamani bin Jamaludin, Chairman of the Kedah Darul Aman Branch of the Peninsular Malaysia Village Heads Association.

This initiative is in line with the mission of Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) to continue supporting those in need while ensuring that students have access to the essential resources required for their educational journey. Through these contributions, TASK hopes to ease the financial burden on recipient families while fostering a stronger spirit of compassion, unity, and community solidarity throughout the State of Kedah.
