Statement by the Sultan Kedah Trust Fund on Its Tax-Exempt Status

Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) was established in October 2022 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, the Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman. TASK embodies His Royal Highness’s concern for the welfare and prosperity of the people, reflecting His noble vision through six core pillars: Education, Sports, Health and Well-being, Social Welfare, Environmental Conservation, and Animal Protection. Through these pillars, TASK is committed to realising the royal aspirations of building a prosperous, harmonious, and competitive society.

Education

Provide financial assistance to educational institutions and students, support educational programmes that foster academic achievement and skills development, and promote community awareness initiatives.

Sports

Encouraging participation in sports through the enhancement of sports facilities, the provision of sporting equipment, and support for emerging young athletes.

Health & Well-being

Supporting the maintenance of healthcare facilities while providing assistance for community health and well-being programmes.

Social Welfare

Memberi bantuan kepada golongan yang memerlukan seperti anak-anak yatim, warga emas, keluarga berpendapatan rendah dan mangsa-mangsa bencana alam.

Environmental Conservation

Promoting environmental conservation and protection initiatives, including greening projects and the preservation of marine ecosystems.

Animal Welfare

Supporting animal protection and welfare through assistance to animal shelters, rescue initiatives, and the implementation of community awareness programmes.

B40 students who participated in personal development programmes, technical and vocational training, English language enhancement programmes, career placement initiatives, public awareness programmes, and support initiatives such as the School Breakfast Programme.

Healthcare & Well-being

Communities provided with access to clean water, together with the distribution of full cream milk powder and multivitamins to support the health of at-risk pregnant mothers and malnourished children from B40 families.

Social Welfare

Low-income and B40 families who received support through basic food baskets, cash assistance, Back-to-School assistance, home improvement programmes, and aid for victims of natural disasters.

Animal Welfare

Beneficiaries of Stray Dog Sterilisation Programmes, animal shelter maintenance, and the provision of food for stray animals.
