Flag-Off Ceremony for the Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) Zero-to-Hero Welder Sponsorship Programme

2 November 2025 | Alor Setar – Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK), in collaboration with TWI Technology (S.E. Asia), held the Flag-Off Ceremony for participants of the Zero-to-Hero Welder Programme at the Main Meeting Room, Ground Floor, Block E, Wisma Darul Aman.

The programme is a TASK initiative aimed at developing a skilled workforce in the field of welding through internationally recognised Certified Welder qualifications. A total of five (5) participants, accompanied by their family members, were honoured at the ceremony before departing for Shah Alam, Selangor, to undertake a four-month Advanced Welding Skills Training Programme.

The initiative provides opportunities for B40 youth, SPM and Tahfiz graduates, as well as individuals with basic welding skills, to enhance their technical competencies and obtain internationally recognised certification. This, in turn, opens pathways to employment opportunities in the oil and gas industry and other related sectors, both in Malaysia and abroad.

TASK hopes that this programme will continue to be expanded in the future, providing greater opportunities and benefits to more young people throughout the State of Kedah.
