His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Kedah and Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah Visit the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at Sekolah Bukit Hijau, Derang

30 November 2024 – His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, the Raja Muda of Kedah, and Her Royal Highness Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff, the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah, graciously visited the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at Sekolah Bukit Hijau, Derang.

 

Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses were received by the Honourable Dato’ Seri Haji Norizan Khazali, State Secretary of Kedah; the Honourable Dato’ Wira Syed Khairol Anuar bin Syed Abidin, State Financial Officer of Kedah; the Honourable Dato’ Dr. Nadzman bin Mustaffa, Deputy State Secretary (Management); Dr. Ismuni bin Bohari, Director of the Kedah State Health Department; Encik Mohamad Rizal bin Mohamad Radzi, District Officer of Pokok Sena; together with other distinguished guests.

 

During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses graciously toured the temporary accommodation areas set up in the school's classrooms and presented cash assistance through Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) to 46 heads of households affected by the floods.

 

Their Royal Highnesses were also taken by boat, accompanied by the relevant authorities, to survey residential areas inundated by floodwaters before continuing their visit to the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at Dewan Serbaguna Pokok Sena.
