His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Kedah and Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah Visit the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at Hosba National Secondary School
29 November 2024 – “Flood victims should always follow the instructions of the authorities. If advised to evacuate, they should do so immediately,” His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Kedah decreed during a visit to flood victims at the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Hosba.
Earlier, His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Kedah and Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda of Kedah graciously visited 115 flood victims from 55 families who had been accommodated at the Temporary Relief Centre since Thursday following the severe flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall across the State beginning on 25 November 2024.
During the visit, Azizah Kassim, 62, from Kampung Padang Asun Luar, Mukim Binjal, expressed her deepest appreciation for Their Royal Highnesses' gracious presence at the relief centre. She and her husband were deeply touched by Their Royal Highnesses' compassion and concern for the welfare of the people affected by the disaster.
Another resident, Ahmad Hamid, 62, from Kampung Tebing, Hosba, who was staying at the relief centre with his wife, also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for Their Royal Highnesses' visit. He expressed his sincere appreciation to all agencies and personnel involved for the care, assistance, and services provided throughout their stay at the Temporary Relief Centre.
During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses also graciously presented cash assistance through Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) to the heads of households who remained at the Temporary Relief Centre and spent time meeting and comforting flood victims before departing.
