Launch of the Tube Well Project and Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) Community Outreach Programme

16 January 2025, Sik – His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, the Raja Muda of Kedah and Chairman of Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK), graciously attended the official launch of the Tube Well Project and the Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) Community Outreach Programme.

Also in attendance were Dato’ Seri Norizan Khazali; Dato’ Seri Setia DiRaja Dato’ Paduka Bakar Din; Dato’ Wira Vijayasundram Jeyabalan, Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK; Professor Emeritus Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Salleh Din; Faisal Rizal Mohammad, District Officer of Sik; and Tuan Haji Azhan bin Abd Hamid, General Manager of TASK.

The Tube Well Project was undertaken to address the urgent need for a reliable water supply for students of Sekolah Menengah Agama Irsyadiah and residents of Kampung Pondok Ampang, providing access to clean water for more than 1,000 residents.

Following the launch ceremony, His Royal Highness graciously visited two local households and presented contributions under the Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK) Community Outreach Programme.

The TASK Community Outreach Programme in Sik marked the fourth district implementation after Alor Setar, Langkawi, and Bandar Baharu. The programme aims to assist 20 families in need in each district across Kedah. Assistance provided includes essential food baskets, fresh food supplies, and home renovation projects for families affected by disasters or facing financial hardship, regardless of race, religion, or background.

Through this initiative, TASK remains committed to extending meaningful support to communities in need throughout the State of Kedah.
