TASK and Pennawaris Organise the Jejak Waris Hijau Kuning Programme to Strengthen Estate Planning Awareness

Tabung Amanah Sultan Kedah (TASK), in collaboration with Pennawaris Sdn. Bhd., successfully organised the Jejak Waris Hijau Kuning programme at Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Setar, involving 112 village heads (Penghulu) from across the State of Kedah. The programme was organised to address the growing backlog of estate administration cases, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in significant delays in the hearing and processing of inheritance claims.

The Jejak Waris Hijau Kuning 2024 programme was officiated by the Honourable Dato’ Pengelola Bijaya DiRaja, Dato’ Seri Setia Diraja Dato’ Paduka Haji Bakar bin Din, Member of the Board of Trustees of TASK. Also in attendance were Tuan Haji Azhan bin Abd Hamid, General Manager of TASK; Dr Anne Ismail, Founder of Pennawaris Sdn. Bhd.; Tuan Haji Sharen Alzalip, Deputy Chairman of Pennawaris Sdn. Bhd.; and Encik Jamani bin Jamaludin, Chairman of the Association of Penghulu and Penggawa of Peninsular Malaysia (Kedah Darul Aman Branch).

The programme focused on raising awareness among village heads about the importance of ethical estate planning and administration, while promoting proper inheritance management in accordance with Islamic principles. It is hoped that this initiative will contribute to a more efficient estate administration process and ensure that inherited assets are distributed fairly and managed for the benefit of the rightful beneficiaries.
