His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin

The Raja Muda of Kedah

His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah, the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Kedah, was born on 2 March 1967 in Alor Setar, Kedah. He is the eldest son of His Royal Highness Sultan Sallehuddin, the 29th Sultan of the State of Kedah Darul Aman, and Her Royal Highness Sultanah Maliha binti Tengku Ariff of the State of Kelantan.

His Royal Highness completed his studies at Holborn College, London, having previously pursued a Bachelor of Laws degree at Brunel University, United Kingdom. His early education was at Kolej Damansara Utama, SEA Park Secondary School, and the Royal Military College, Kuala Lumpur.

His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah met Her Royal Highness Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff in 1999 while serving at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. Her Royal Highness Che Puan Muda Zaheeda, who was born on 19 October 1971 in Ipoh, Perak, holds law degrees from the University of Wales and the University of Bristol, and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1996. They were married on 27 February 2003 and are blessed with two children: Tunku Zara Bahiyah and Tunku Sulaiman Badlishah.

Throughout his career, His Royal Highness has held several prominent positions, including Director of Asiamet (M) Sdn. Bhd. and Asia Metropolitan University, as well as Chairman of Haisan Resources Berhad. He also served at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission as Director of the Legal Division and Company Secretary. In addition, His Royal Highness has served with Sime Darby Berhad and the law firm Shearn Delamore & Co.

His Royal Highness is a qualified Advocate and Solicitor and was formerly called to the Bar as a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, United Kingdom. He has received numerous honours, including the Darjah Utama Seri Mahawangsa and the Darjah Setia DiRaja Kedah.

His Royal Highness enjoys reading, playing golf, and participating in exploration and outdoor activities.
